Been awhile...

Hello world!  So yes, it has been just over a month since my last post.  There hasn't really been much that's caught my attention, so there ya go.  I just picked up Bioshock Infinite.  I haven't played the first two yet, but am eagerly awaiting the end of this game so I can get to them.  Bottom line, BI is an awesome game.

Anywho, I also just built myself a new computer.  I wanted a new rig to get me through the next few years.  If interested in the specs and costs, as well as benchmarking infos on my new rig, let me know. I'm not going to post much about it unless asked.

I really don't have much to post about at the moment.  I just wanted to post something to show I wasn't dead or anything.  Even though I've got no followers;_;... I figured it's been too long.

So, maybe when I get some time, I will go ahead and post about my new rig, or maybe do a game review.  I don't usually play too many games, but since I picked up the Bioshock series, and I also can't wait to blow through those because Dishonored looks so great, I'll have a bit to talk about.

But for now...lets talk about me!

HMM... Since last Feb 27:

I'm still playing League of Legends(like an idiot...).  I just build a new gaming rig(what the hell, I'll include specs below).  I'm just about done with Bioshock Infinite.  I at some point was getting utterly fed up with my job and gave my boss my 2-week notice.  They didn't want to lose me, so we worked something out*cool-guy smile with 'tooth-sparkle' ting!*

That's me!  Not to eventful(at least what I'm going to share with you all anyway!(hehehe)

As for my specs:

Cooler Master elite 120 case(small as heck... approx. 16x9x10)
Corsair TX650 PSU
AsusP8Z77-I Deluxe MB
Intel i5 3570K cpu
Evga Geforce GTX670 2GB GPU(OPEN BOX BRUH! SUP?!)
Stock cooling... I was too anxious to get it together, so I didn't drill any holes in the case to add in some fans
I've gotta get back to it and do some better wire consolidation and add more cooling elements to it before I can do some overclocking.... but it probably won't happen, this thing is super tight.
Cost: ~$1400 (Would have been a little less... but I just couldn't wait and went to Fry's instead of ordering from Newegg.)

Well that's it for now! So look forward to either some game reviews, more detais on computer building stuffs(it's a fun activity for all ages!(probably)), or maybe an article about my perspective on perspective.

GL HF GG Bye for now!

P.S.  Haha.... My blog 'looks' boring... but no one comes here for the eye candy right? It's all about my amazingly captivating content! right? right?!

Great Great Stuff

Alright, for those of you who don't already know, wimp.com is an awesome site.  States right on the page, "Best videos on the Web."  This is pretty much true.  Can't go wrong with wimp vids.  Of course you can find them elsewhere, but here it's all nice and organized and updated daily.

TODAY... I saw this video http://www.wimp.com/mostschools/

Great stuff... Especially considering I'm getting pretty pumped about that stuff I talked about in my last post.  I'm considering changing my major to something towards this.  It makes sense to, and hopefully the company I work for will still cover my schooling.  I haven't been this excited for school, so hopefully it lasts.

Anyway, just wanted to share this video, as requested in the video itself. It deserves to be seen.

Any other people who may feel newly inspired to head into the field, hit me up.  We may be able to learn together and push and be pushed to actually follow through.  Revolutionary breakthroughs are happening all the time these days, yet so many of us just sit at home "bored."  It's time to get active everybody!

The future! Wooo!

I just came across the MYO. Thalmic Labs has developed an arm band that allows the user to control various devices from computers to robots! Instantly preordered one of these! They're going for $150 and are supposed to be out late THIS YEAR!

They are also releasing a developer API to allow smart people to fully utilize this godly new piece of technology.

I've also come across OculusVR. A new virtual reality headset that looks freaking awesome!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tsJzQOCyLVk

Huh huh?? VR headset plus motion control?
But wait! There's more!
Many have developed various uses for the Xbox Kinect. Utilizing Augmented Reality in some instances.

VR headset+MYO+Kinect sensor?? Somebody's gotta make the connection, that actually has the know how to put these things into use.

Some dude in Japan has already used AR with the kinect, attaching it and an older video headset to a helmet. It allowed him to date his dream girl, Hatsune Miku! Lolol!

I'll try to get around to embedding these videos when I get to a computer.

Now, Google already is working on Google Glass. Which are a nifty pair of unfashionable glasses that basically put a display right in front of your eyes. Think Dragon Ball Z Scouters. Yeah, it's kinda like that. It's voice controlled, unsure about motion, but a kinect/VR/MYO combo should be able to fix this!

Imagine going for a morning jog and the few other people around you are zombies! And you're not equipped with a shotgun, but are able to shoot lasers from your hands!(I'm talking this combo+AR btw)

Of course...you'd look like a fool running around with this crazy helmet waving wildly at everyone you see...but hey, it'd be so much fun!

Back to the MYO and Oculus specifically... They both seem like they've got enormous gaming potential. I think a MYO legband would be pretty awesome too. Imagine sitting at home playing your favorite FPS as if you're actually in the game. Supposedly, studies have shown that imagining yourself doing a physical activity actually causes corresponding muscles to contract almost as if actually doing the activity. So without even moving, you could be running around and playing a game as if you were actually in it! Oh man oh man! I'm excited!

Of course the next step up would be brain wave sensors. I can't wait!

Little by little, we're getting closer to making SAO(Sword Art Online) a reality!

So my OP opinion on this? It's super freaking awesome and has soo much potential!

You can preorder the OculusVR now and it will be shipping with a dev toolkit. Hmmm...I might have to get one myself and start learning, so I can get you fools running around the streets like maniacs!

It's all about me! Me! ME! ...not really

This should be a bit more fun a read than my words. Honestly, I'd probably agree with anyone who'd call my word blog boring, but hey, I'd understand if they don't understand. HA! What's up?

Anyway...opinions...mine... OP. That's what this is all about. Would be great to heat from like-minded people, as well as be challenged by those who think otherwise.

I got nothing at the moment that's occupying my interest. Just be ready.
